AJ Produkter is a growing group with both its own manufacturing and a strong commercial presence in several European markets. Through acquisitions and local investments, the company's manufacturing factories had different and older business systems, while the head office and the sales units worked in Dynamics 365. This fragmented system environment hindered the harmonisation of processes and the streamlining of transaction flows between production, logistics and sales. To enable scalable growth and increased digitalisation, AJ Produkter needed to develop a common and long-term sustainable ERP strategy for the group.
The assignment involved analysing processes and systems at the manufacturing plants in Poland, Lithuania and Slovakia. Through interviews and plant studies, the plants' process maturity, technical status and business needs were established. HerbertNathan & Co identified and investigated several alternative ERP scenarios, including needs assessments and recommendations for harmonising the plants. The goal was to create a clear decision support that combined the business's requirements with the technological possibilities and the group’s growth ambitions.
The project resulted in a well-developed and clear roadmap that summarised identified alternatives as well as the recommended scenario, technical choices, and expected business benefits for the entire group. The delivery provided AJ Produkter with a solid foundation for decisions – with transparent cost estimates, impact assessments, and a clear direction for how production, logistics and the sales organisation can be integrated into a unified business system. The new roadmap created both security and dynamism and made it possible for AJ Produkter to take the next step towards a modern, scalable and unified ERP platform.
