Upplands-Bro municipality sought a user-friendly system with good integration capabilities to ensure an efficient and long-term solution for their operational processes.


The assignment included preliminary study, procurement, and implementation support of a new financial system for Upplands-Bro Municipality and its municipal companies. HerbertNathan & Co conducted a preliminary study with the aim of identifying requirements for a future financial system that supports the municipality's ambition for a user-friendly system with good integration capabilities. After the procurement was completed, HerbertNathan & Co assisted the municipality with implementation support to the project manager and a sub-project manager responsible for integrations. The assignment contributed to a quality-assured procurement as well as qualified decision support and advice to the steering committee at critical stages of the project
The assignment resulted in Upplands-Bro municipality making a consolidated and long-term decision to introduce a new financial system in the municipality. In light of previous challenges with an undocumented system and integration landscape, a reset was carried out where processes and integrations were reviewed in order to ensure sustainable and long-term management of the solution. By using HerbertNathan & Co's delivery agreement as a basis in the agreement between the municipality and vendor, clear responsibility and role distributions were created throughout the project. This facilitated collaboration and contributed to ensuring a quality-assured delivery.
