Hedin Mobility Group, specialising in the import and distribution of high-quality vehicles, car trade and aftermarket services, was in a period of strong international expansion and needed to create a clear strategy for HR's digitalisation journey and future system landscape. With support from HerbertNathan & Co, a structured feasibility study and a procurement of a global HCM system were carried out.

The assignment began with a mapping of Hedin Mobility Group's similarities, differences and needs for system support within HR processes. When the needs analysis was completed, the market and option analysis was initiated, which included both a review of relevant solutions on the market and an option analysis to define the target image for the future system landscape.
The feasibility study concluded with a roadmap workshop where a consolidated plan was developed, including, among other things, change management and procurement. The procurement involved two vendors and system supports of slightly different nature, which were evaluated based on a number of defined criteria.
Given Hedin Mobility Group's strong internal HR tech competence, the procurement also focused on identifying an implementation model that enabled active and close participation from the organisation in setting up the new HCM system.
The feasibility study resulted in a common vision for the future HR system support, a well-founded vendor selection, and a clear roadmap for both procurement and implementation. The procurement also laid the foundation for an implementation model where Hedin Mobility Group could take an active role and fully utilise its internal HR tech expertise and secure deep competence in the systems to the benefit of future maintenance and development work.
