HMS creates products that enable industrial equipment to communicate and share information with software and systems. In connection with rapid international growth and the integration of a recently acquired company, HMS Networks needed to create a clear strategy for its future HR system support. With support from HerbertNathan & Co, a structured feasibility study, procurement, and subsequent implementation of a global HCM system were carried out.


The assignment included analysing HMS Networks' business needs, HR processes and existing system landscape as well as developing a target vision and roadmap for a global HCM system. HerbertNathan & Co assisted with needs analysis, market analysis and preparation of decision support. Furthermore, a structured procurement was conducted where vendors were evaluated through requirements analysis, demonstrations and negotiations. After the system selection, HerbertNathan & Co also supported the client in the planning and execution of the implementation, including project structure, data migration and establishing a long-term management model.
HMS Networks went live after a successful implementation of Sage People's entire HCM suite with the system now rolled out globally. The HCM system is now live in over 20 countries, with a solid foundation for Masterdata, Onboarding as well as Performance & Talent, and a clear focus ahead towards global Salary review. Work continues with the rollout of additional modules.
